Shopping for a new appliance? Here's how to get your rebate instantly.
- Visit the Marketplace and choose an energy-efficient appliance that qualifies for a rebate.
- On the product page, check that the instant rebate (if eligible) is already taken off the price.
- Add the appliance to your cart and confirm you’re a SoCalGas customer when prompted.
- After you’re verified, select your payment method and complete your purchase at the discounted price.

- Confirm you have purchased and installed a new natural gas appliance within the calendar year that is eligible for a rebate. Refer to the Natural Gas Appliance Rebates table below for more information. Note: New construction homes do not qualify for a rebate.
- Using the table below, select the Appliance Type that most closely matches the appliance you have purchased and click the link to complete the online rebate application. Note: Only the Account Holder, Spouse (authorized on account) or Property Owner can apply for the rebate. Payments are always payable to the Account Holder. If you are an owner applying on behalf of your tenant and you want the rebate payment payable to you, please apply here. You will need to provide proof of property ownership.
- Fill in the application and provide the required information about your new appliance (e.g. Purchase Date, Manufacturer, Serial Number, etc.)
- Submit a photo of your receipt and of the make-and-model tag on your new appliance. The photos must be in .PDF, .JPG, .JPEG, or .DOC (Word) format.
- Provide your SoCalGas account information (Name, Account Number, Email Address, and Phone Number).
- Submit your rebate application. If all program requirements are met, a rebate payment is generally mailed within six to eight weeks, unless your application is selected for verification, which may take additional time.
- To check the status of your rebate application, use the Status Check tool. You will be asked for your enrollment number, which is provided to you after your application is submitted.

[1] Qualifying ENERGY STAR natural gas clothes dryers must have a minimum Combined Energy Factor (CEF) of 3.48 or greater to qualify for a rebate. List of qualifying products is available at energystar.gov/products.
[2] Qualifying ENERGY STAR natural gas furnaces must have a minimum Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency (AFUE) of 92% to qualify for a rebate. [4] Qualifying tankless water heaters must be replacing a conventional tank-type water heater in a single family detached home. List of certified products is located at energystar.gov/products.
[5] Qualifying high-efficient natural gas storage water heaters must be 55 gallons or less. Rebates will not qualify if purchased from a statewide participating retailer. A list of qualifying products is available at socalgas.com/Storage-Water-Heater-List.
[6] Must be replacing an existing natural gas oven. For additional qualifying models, visit socalgas.com/Oven-List.
[7] Qualifying standalone and wall mount models are as follows: Standalone - IR Energy – EvenGLO Wall Mount - Easy Radiant - Equator HI-40N2, Calcana - PH-40HO 304SS, Schwank - 2313, Schwank - 2315, and IR Energy - HAB-M50
[8] Qualifying units must not exceed 500,000 British Thermal Unit (BTU). Must be replacing an existing natural gas pool heater. List of qualifying products is available at socalgas.com/Pool-Heater-List.
[9] Must have a Solar Uniform Energy Factor (SUEF) of 1.8 or greater. In addition, a new installation of an ENERGY STAR certified water heater in conjunction with the solar installation is required. Rebate Payment Information
Payments will be issued by the Choice Digital Corporation, a third party disbursement processor on behalf of SoCalGas. Please note: Your payment may be in the form of a digital Prepaid Mastercard® or a physical Prepaid Mastercard®.
SoCalGas has contracted with Choice Digital Corporation, a third party disbursement processor, to process energy-efficiency incentive rebate payments to SoCalGas' customers in connection with the Home Energy Efficiency Rebate Program.

The Home Energy Efficiency Rebate Program is funded by California utility customers and administered by Southern California Gas Company (SoCalGas) under the auspices of the California Public Utilities Commission. Program funds, including any funds utilized for rebates or incentives, will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis until December 31, 2025 or until such funds are no longer available.
