If your central system boiler is more than 20 years old, consider replacing it with a new one.

Natural gas water heaters cost less to operate and recover faster than their electric counterparts.

Central system gas water heaters are much less expensive to operate than electric systems.
The water heaters must be 80 gallons or greater with a minimum thermal efficiency of 82%.

An efficient controller can reduce natural gas consumption and reduce water heating bills up to 20%.

Rebates for property managers and owners are available through mail-in rebates. Before purchasing energy efficient equipment and/or appliances, make sure they meet rebate specifications listed on application.

Controller applications must include a valid CSLB license number for the installer of the controller.
Effective January 1, 2013, applications for HVAC equipment (central furnaces, wall furnaces, etc) now require an applicable permit number be listed on the application, along with a contractor and customer signature verifying the correct permit was obtained.
