Third-Party Charges
As a convenience to customers, we've been providing billing services to third parties selling energy-related or home safety-related products or services since the late 1990s.
HomeServe
We have a billing arrangement with HomeServe NA Insurance Services (HomeServe) formerly referred to as Home Emergency Insurance Solutions (HEIS). HomeServe is a provider of optional home repair solutions. SoCalGas customers who choose to purchase optional home repair plans that are administered by HomeServe and issued by AMT Home Protection Company, will pay a monthly fee through their SoCalGas bill.
HomeServe is an independent company and is not regulated by the California Public Utilities Commission and is not the same company as, or an affiliate of, SoCalGas. Your choice of whether to purchase these services from HomeServe will not affect your current level of natural gas service from SoCalGas. As with any other purchase, customers should do appropriate research to determine whether HomeServe services are right for them.
HomeServe Charges on Your Natural Gas Bill
If you've recently enrolled in a plan from HomeServe/HEIS, it may take up to two bill cycles (around two months) from the time you enrolled for their charges to appear on your natural gas utility bill.
The HomeServe charge will appear as:
HomeServe/HEIS: 1-888-302-0137, M-F, 8am-5pm Protection Plan Charge mm/dd/yyyy $xx.xx
HomeServe Mailing Lists
SoCalGas does not share or sell customer addresses to third parties. If you've received a mailing from HomeServe, please know that HomeServe purchases mailing lists from a third-party vendor and SoCalGas verifies that it is a billable address. We do not sell customer addresses to third parties. In order to be removed from future mailings, please contact HomeServe directly.

SoCalGas and HomeServe
SoCalGas is paid a fee by HomeServe for providing the billing and remittance processing services. The majority of this fee is then paid back to our customers through our rates, and helps keep rates lower than they otherwise could be.
SoCalGas goes through a formal process to select third party companies that provide energy-related or home-safety related products or services. If your company is interested in participating in this billing service, please contact the Program Manager at LineItemBilling@socalgas.com.
