Restore Service
If the meter is closed for non-payment of bills, contact us to inquire about the total charges due. Charges to restore service usually include the amount of any past due bills, deposit/additional deposit and the reconnection fee.

Transfer service is for customers who already have gas service with us and need to move gas service to a new address within our service area. Start service is for new or existing customers that need to start gas service at a current or new address in our service area. If you need to change or update names on an existing account, you may do so by going to Manage Account Information.
Your new address must be in our service area. A meter must be installed. If there is no meter, please submit a Request for Residential Gas Service to have a meter installed. Please have your social security number ready. It is necessary to validate your identity through Experian, a national credit reporting agency. SoCalGas® uses proven, trusted technology to protect your personal information. If you are unable to provide it, please call 1-877-238-0092 for assistance. A one-time service fee of $25 will be added to your first bill.
