Erin M. Smith, Senior Vice President, Chief Talent, Culture, and Operations Support Officer

Erin M. Smith is senior vice president, chief talent, culture, and operations support officer for Southern California Gas Company (SoCalGas), a Sempra regulated California utility. She is responsible for talent strategies that create sustainable business advantages aligned to SoCalGas' mission to build the cleanest, safest, and most innovative energy infrastructure company in America. 

Smith's key areas of focus include talent development, employee engagement and organizational culture. She also oversees strategies for various operational support functions, including supply chain, fleet, and real estate, to support SoCalGas' leadership position in California's clean energy future. 

Smith joined SoCalGas in 2020. Prior to that, she was a partner and employment general counsel at Loeb and Loeb, LLP, where she represented clients across various industries in litigation and transactional matters. 

Smith serves on the board of directors of the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the UCLA Human Resources Roundtable. She holds a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of California, San Diego, and a law degree from the University of Southern California.
