Learn more about the essential role clean fuels like renewable natural gas and hydrogen can play in our energy future.

Renewable Natural Gas

Converting waste products into renewable gas may help California meet its energy needs with local resources.

[H2] Innovation Experience

First of its kind in the U.S. microgrid that includes a home, solar arrays, a home battery and an electrolyzer to convert solar energy into clean, renewable hydrogen.

Hydrogen

We are empowering hydrogen development for California’s homes and businesses.

Power Generation Technologies

Localizing power generation, such as a fuel cell, can increase energy resiliency and power quality.

Clean Transportation

Fueling with compressed natural gas (CNG) has a number of environmental and economic benefits.

Fuel Cells

Learn how hydrogen and oxygen are used to generate more efficient clean energy.

Carbon Management

SoCalGas is exploring opportunities to construct, own and operate carbon dioxide pipelines in our service territory with an initial focus on Kern County.

H2 Blending

The California Public Utilities Commission has directed SoCalGas to pursue hydrogen blending to help advance California’s clean energy goals.
